Graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Zoology, Roger later completed a Doctorate on a mouse model for Motor Neuron Disease in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sydney. As a former neuroscientist, Roger was employed in the Department of Pathology at the University of Sydney, during which time he managed the Neuropathology laboratory and the New South Wales (NSW) Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease surveillance facility in the Blackburn Building. In this capacity, he had published several scientific research papers on the ploidy analysis of tumours and the aetiology of Motor Neuron Disease among other collaborative projects outside this field. He is currently a lecturer in Molecular Biology, Statistics, Histotechnology, Human Anatomy

Over time, my path shifted from simply documenting phenomena to exploring how the human mind engages with them—how our brains interpret, internalize, and are deeply affected by experiences that defy conventional explanation. In 2020, I released my first documentary Down the Rabbit Hole internationally on Paraflixx, a platform dedicated to paranormal and supernatural content. The film examined the need for ethical reform and better training within the paranormal field. My current work focuses on a more urgent and human story—Disclosure: Australia’s Alien Encounters—a new documentary in production that gives voice to modern experiencers across Australia. The film seeks to break the stigma around contact, including abductions and craft sightings, and asks what we, as a wider community, can do to support experiencers. It emphasizes a crucial truth: disclosure cannot be left solely to world governments—it must come from the people themselves. Real change begins when experiencers are empowered to speak—and when we, as a community, stand beside them, helping their voices be heard, understood, and respected.
